Srixon Sports today announces the signing of the world’s number 12 ranked golfer Henrik Stenson. Stenson, a 7-year veteran on the European Tour will play with Srixon’s I-506 Irons, Srixon Z-UR series golf ball and will wear a Srixon hat and glove and carry Srixon’s signature red staff bag. Stenson joins an impressive list of world class professionals on the Srixon staff such as World number 2 and 2006 Vardon Trophy winner Jim Furyk, Tim Clark, Tom Lehman, Robert Allenby, Miguel Angel Jimenez, John Rollins, and Karrie Webb to name a few. The addition of Stenson further showcases Srixon’s fast growing reputation as a brand that is played by the world’s best.

Stenson is recognized as one of the longest hitters in the world and possesses one of the finest short games around. He became a major force on golf’s international stage in 2006 with 2 victories among 8 top 10s and a 6th place finish on the European Tour’s Order of Merit. His 3rd place finish at the 2006 Players Championship on the PGA Tour further signaled his emergence as a force on the world’s tours. Stenson’s remarkable year culminated at the Ryder Cup in September when he holed the winning putt to guarantee the Europeans at least 14 ½ points and the victory.

He has many impressive accolades on his resume including winning Sweden’s Eisenhower Trophy; in 2000 winning The European Challenge Tour Rankings, with 8 top ten finishes and 3 wins; in 2001 he winning the Benson and Hedges Tournament and in 2004 winning The Heritage Tournament at Woburn.

In 2005, Stenson climbed to 8th place in the Order of Merit by collecting 9 top 10 finishes and was the leading points earner in the Seve Trophy that same year.
