Srixon is proud to announce the signing of current World Number 5 ranked player VJ Singh and Boo Weekley.

Fri January 16th 2009

Singh, the winner of 57 tournaments worldwide, including 3 majors and over $60 million on the PGA Tour alone, has switched to play Srixon golf balls and the reigning Fedex Cup Champion has also extended his equipment contract with Cleveland golf, although his cap will now carry the logo of a new Corporate Sponsor.

“I have thoroughly tested Srixon balls and I am convinced that they are better than what I have been playing.  This also virtually assures that I will be playing Srixon balls, Cleveland Golf clubs and Never Compromise putters for the rest of my PGA Tour career and I am extremely happy about that, said Singh, who has endorsed Cleveland Golf since 2000 and Never Compromise since 2004.”

A Srixon spokesman said that the Company was delighted that Singh had switched to playing Srixon balls and that 2009 is expected to be another big year for the popular Fijian, who has won more events on the PGA Tour than any other Overseas born player.

Boo Weekley, who was nicknamed after cartoon hero Yogi Bear’s sidekick, “Boo Boo” Bear, is a two-time winner on The PGA Tour and also played a major role in the U.S. Ryder Cup victory last fall. Weekley, who also happens to be an avid hunter and fisherman, has experienced a rise in popularity that is unparalleled on the PGA Tour and is well known for attracting large and boisterous galleries which are commonly referred to as the Boo Crew.

By switching to Srixon, Singh and Weekley join a growing team of more than 250 International Tour Players, including Henrik Stenson, Jim Furyk, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Tim Clark and Robert Allenby, who between them have used Srixon golf balls to win more than 100 Tournaments over the last 3 years including 40 events in 2008 alone!
